Built on Experience
Three decades of building, leading, and shipping — distilled into a consultancy that values outcomes over outputs.
The Short Version
Strategy From Someone Who's Shipped It
I'm Patrick Harman. I've spent 30+ years at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution — not advising from the sidelines, but in the room making decisions, writing code, managing teams, and owning results.
I started Harman Digital Consulting because I kept seeing the same pattern: organizations hire expensive agencies for strategy, then hire different teams to execute it, and somewhere in the handoff the original intent gets lost. I bridge that gap. Every engagement I take on, I'm involved from diagnosis through delivery.
I don't sell hours. I sell outcomes. If a project doesn't have a clear path to measurable impact, I'll tell you before we start — not after you've signed a contract.
Background
The Long Version
Cut teeth during the first dotcom wave — building web experiences when the industry was still figuring out what the web could do. Learned early that technology without strategy is just expensive experimentation.
Led digital and technology initiatives at enterprise scale across e-commerce, media supply chain, direct to consumer, and media. Managed cross-functional teams, owned multi-million-dollar platform budgets, and delivered projects that moved business metrics.
Deep focus on composable digital experience platforms, cross-brand platform architectures, and e-commerce. Architected systems handling millions of transactions, led platform migrations, and built the bridge between C-suite strategy and engineering execution.
Founded the consultancy to bring enterprise-grade strategy and execution to organizations that need senior-level expertise without the overhead of a large agency. Every engagement is hands-on, high-impact, and results-driven.
What I Bring
Not a Generalist. Not a Specialist. An Operator.
Strategy That Ships
Not slide decks that sit on a shelf. Roadmaps built by someone who's delivered them — with realistic timelines, clear dependencies, and measurable milestones.
Technical Depth
Architecture reviews, platform evaluations, and technology decisions informed by decades of building and maintaining production systems at scale.
Cross-Functional Fluency
Comfortable in the boardroom and the codebase. Translates between business objectives and technical execution without losing signal in either direction.
Operator Mindset
Every recommendation accounts for who maintains it, what it costs to run, and how it scales. No ivory tower architecture — just systems that work.
Let's Talk About Your Situation
No pitch. No pressure. Just a conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and whether I can help you get there.
